Paul Lo Duca, who surprisingly pitched to David Wright last night in the Home Run Derby and helped him almost win, talks about his pitching skills:
"I was a pitcher in high school. Now you see why I'm not."
By the way, was anybody else surprised by Wright's performance yesterday? NOBODY picked him to come close to winning the Derby. Not even Cliff Floyd, who said Wright would hit about 2. I thought it was pretty funny at the beginning during the intros; Wright was like the smallest guy there!
My boyfriend is still calling Wright a "little pussy" though; he got annoyed at how Wright kept saying every few minutes, "I'm tired!" And he didn't like how Wright kept cursing during his at-bats, as the sound edits kept inturrupting what the ESPN guys were saying.
