It's that time again. Yes folks, it's ROOKIE HAZING TIME in Yankee Land!!! This year, the rookies were forced to dress up like Wizard of Oz characters. They even had the movie's soundtrack playing in the clubhouse. This is so much better than last year's George Steinbrenner outfits. Nothing says funny like cross-dressing.
"Mini-Moose" Ian Kennedy didn't seem to mind. He was just grateful to be in the Majors:
''I'd rather be here dressing up than anywhere else. It makes you feel like one of the guys.''
...said the young pitcher while putting on some sparkly red slippers. Nothing more manly than that.
I love the little stuffed animal dog in the basket. So cute!
Joba Chaimberlain's dad has never been prouder. We're definitely not in Nebraska anymore:
Lions and Tigers and 100 mph fastballs... oh my!

Shelley Duncan does a good job at scaring the crows away with his infamously painful high-fives.

Phil Hughes as the Tin Man.

Awww... Chase Wright and Phil Hughes make a cute couple:

According to the NY Times, as Chase Wright walked by in his Glinda the Good Witch getup, Joba yelled out:
''Hey, can I get your number?''
Definitely not a good year for Kei Igawa:
